The scenic aera of the layout is 2f x 7ft 6ins and to include the track as per laid out below on the track plan .
The front of the layout will be the along the top edge of the plan , so this helps with the curves into the backboard fiddle yard .
The layout will has working dapol  signals and lights in some buildings , loading platform for tanks / cars for war flats and car transporter wagons .
There is also a small river towards the back of the layout to give it more interest .
This layout is not  a 100%  copy of the station ,  but based on the station aera .
A railway workers cottage made , and ready for weathering . Sorry about the 08 !!
Track to be fitted to turntable
The bay platform and the main line platforms will take a good size train
The good's shed has been made from bits of a metcalf engine shed as there is no goods shed
on the market thats as long as the real one , it is still work in progress
Peco manual turntable now fitted , also a  water tower  that will have a diffrent roof by the end of the build to make it look like the one in real life

War time platforms for troop and gun movement
Sorry about an amercian  on a British Layout !!!!!
Platforms now being fitted , they are solid wood , and covered with building card , you can see the screws at the moment , but as the build go's
along they will be covered with card for the platform top surface
There will be a backboard between the fiddle / storage yard and the scenic part of the layout
There will also be a small river added to the bottom right of the above photo
We have had to use set track points on this layout because of the room , but we have got them looking real to life !!!
A test carriage on the track above
The board has been extended slightly towards the front ready for the manual turntable to be fitted
Ballast now solid and dry , and now had its first coat of the track weathering .
Wood and ally frame now completed , This gives a very stong solid baseboard
DCC main bus wiring , all droppers now wired as above , main bus to be fitted
A cross over point in the storage yard has been added as there is no way in the scenic part for  trains to go from up-to-down lines
Special roco points have been used on one storage track because of fitting in the point motor and the amout of room thats ava
DCC Power Wiring Above , These are droppers to connect to a main "BUS" wire , Thats Likea power ring main .
After laying the two main running lines we have noticed that the cross overs on the orignal plan as below , as per real life ,
is not right for a model railway , as a train can not get from up-down only down to up , so in the fiddle yard we have added a
cross over to enable models to cross over the main tracks out of view .
